Natrues Kiss is proud to be sponsoring the Loch Katrine Running Festival 2015 - 25/02/2015
This event was originally organised in 2013 to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland. The event was successful and the 2nd edition was run in March 2014 and sold out in 3 weeks. It is now set to be a regular event and the 2015 edition will raise further funds to add to the £14k already raised by Audrey for the charity.
It will continue to be a no frills event open to runners of all abilities, with the emphasis on minimising costs and passing the majority of the entry fee money to the charity.
It is run along a quiet private road on the shores of Loch Katrine (starting and finishing at the Trossachs Pier) in the Trossachs. It is a challenging route, but runners will be rewarded with some excellent scenery and views.
All finishers will receive a medal and goody bag. This year there will be prizes for the first 3 overall male and female finishers in each race.
There is a Facebook Group for the event also, where you can find additional information and communicate with other participants.
Some comments about the event .....
“Most scenic marathon you will run, full stop. The only road marathon I run” — Stan Bland, trail and ultra runner
“I have run the half twice and it is my favourite race ever! First year I done 1:43 and did not get the opportunity to savour the awesome views, last year I ran with my non - running husband and we savoured every inch.....coming in almost last but to the most fantastic cheers from the people at the finish line. ..... ” — Jane Anderson
